The Acting School

[The print edition with the same title is available online everywhere!] Former child star Zhuang Qin returns to the year he first debuted. Back then, he was in his prime, and his good looks had made him an overnight sensation. He had a dazzling career ahead of him. He still remembered turning down a low-budget production that year. It was a gay film. The movie became a stepping stone for its lead, Li Mu, who went on to win the Best Actor award. Later, it was revealed that Li Mu came from a wealthy family. His family didn't approve of his career in show business and was just waiting for him to give up after treating it as a hobby, then come home and inherit the family business. Zhuang Qin had the good fortune to see him on the red carpet. Surrounded by stars, Li Mu clearly had nothing to prove: he never courted publicity, had never been involved in a scandal, kept himself respectable, and always wore a frosty expression. He was a breath of fresh air in the industry. - In his previous life, Zhuang Qin had watched the movie. The role he'd turned down wasn't especially remarkable. It had originally been the second male lead, but script changes reduced him to a background character, and even all the flirtatious scenes were cut! But that was fine. The chance to act alongside a future Best Actor, play second fiddle to him, and even cozy up to him was once in a lifetime. Zhuang Qin made up his mind: he was taking this role! Then he joined the cast and opened the original script, which hadn't been changed. Kissing scene, kissing scene, kissing scene, kissing scene... "If you can cultivate with a Mahayana-stage cultivator, you'll form your core in ten years and become a deity in a hundred!" But there were only two Mahayana cultivators in the entire cultivation world. One was an ancient, decrepit old man from the demonic path, sinister by nature, whose hobby was rendering people into oil to use as lamp fuel. The other was Rong Ji, sect master of a top-tier sect in the upper realm, a sword cultivator who followed the Heartless Dao. Rumor had it he was even more savage and cruel than the demonic old man! Gu Yao accidentally stumbled into Sect Master Rong's Creation World. After taking the form of a little fox, he was picked up by Sect Master Rong, who had lost his memory and was passing through a tribulation there. Gu Yao was freezing. When he saw the man was about to eat him, he whimpered pitifully and begged for mercy. "...Forget it. I won't kill today. Go sleep on that cushion." A hundred years passed in the blink of an eye. When Gu Yao woke up, only one year had passed in the real world. The romantic debt he'd stirred up followed him to the upper realm, so Gu Yao quickly packed up and ran. Not long afterward, he heard that Sect Master Rong had emerged from seclusion and was offering a priceless reward for the capture of a fox demon. Gu Yao tucked his fox tail between his legs. "What's the reward?" What? Say that again? A million spirit stones?! Gu Yao: QAQ If I turn myself in, can I claim the reward??? Theme: Love and peace
