[Hakuoki] A Flash of Beauty

"The hills are lush with trees, and the trees are thick with branches. I love you, but you don't know."

Though I never dared hope we would meet again, I never gave up on my promise to keep living. Because as long as I stayed alive, perhaps I could glimpse you once more in the crowd...

I have never forgotten. Not once.

"The courtyard steps lie desolate, though the flowers have faded. Who will cover the three thousand miles of dust and smoke?, "

Reader's Note:

1. Don't ask why, if this is a Japanese-style story, I used a line from the Yue Ren Ge in the blurb. I just suddenly felt it might suit the heroine's state of mind [just kidding!]

2. Happy birthday, A Yan! This is a birthday gift for you. I really dared to try writing in a classical style, but the result isn't quite what I hoped. Please don't hate it, A Yan~~

3. Inspired by A Yan's request for a story about Yi Jun, I've already come up with an idea for a long story. So this short story only uses part of that idea. The transitions are clumsy, and I may have laid on the sweetness a little deliberately, so read with caution.
