Was This Your Dream?

Have you ever had any strange, bizarre dreams?

For example--

You're sleeping soundly when suddenly you fall from a great height. The sensation of weightlessness is like a hand yanking the mattress out from under you. Wind rushes into your ears, and your heart pounds up into your throat.

You kick wildly in midair, then, thud!

You wake with a start.

Panting, you pat yourself and say, "Phew, phew, it's okay, it's okay. It was only a dream."

But all day long, whenever you pass an overpass, you can't help edging closer to the railing.

Or--

You've been out of school for ages, but you keep dreaming about that high school classroom. The stuffy smell of books mingles with the scent of ink, and the fan overhead whirs around as if it's about to fall at any moment!

You stand in the doorway, desperately trying to find your seat.

It's right there. It should be right there. But no matter what, you can't find it.

Then all your classmates turn to stare at you in unison and ask, "What are you looking for?"

Or maybe--

Late at night, you stand under a streetlamp, looking across at an abandoned sports field.

A basketball bounces by itself on the ground, once, twice, but never makes it into the crooked hoop.

You watch yourself walk over against your will, bend down, and pick up the ball.

The next second, you scream and hurl it away!

But it bounces after you, bouncing and chasing you, crying, "Why don't you shoot? Why don't you shoot?"

That isn't a basketball.

It's a human head.

The girl in the dream is called A Meng.

But you can call her something else... You, me, or the person sitting beside you right now, keeping you company as you read this blurb.

What? There's no one beside you?

How interesting.

I must have been mistaken.

Or... perhaps you're the one who's mistaken.

Are you ready?

Come dream with A Meng.
