I Don't Know. She Says She's the Eldest Senior Sister

The junior sister of Jinjue Lu has changed bodies again, so her master raised a hand and sent down a bolt of heavenly lightning.

It had happened sixty-six times. Every time, the lightning drove the newcomer away. This time, sixty-six bolts struck, and not one hit.

The soul from another world steadied herself and looked around at the golden bricks and jade tiles. "This face, this chest, this pool! What a steal!"

Jinjue Lu was rich enough to pave the ground with gold bricks. The sect leader loved making money? Her master loved hurling lightning? None of that mattered!

What mattered was that Shen Wuyi was going to become the senior sister!

Nobody agreed? No problem.

Over three years, she tried every trick from every cultivation novel she'd ever read, stepping into every pit along the way. Cry, make a scene, threaten to hang herself; frame people, play the victim, draw circles and pretend they're talismans.

Then a delicate junior sister really did join the sect, acting out all the usual white-lotus tricks.

The senior brothers watched the show.

The junior sister cried so hard she looked like a flower in the rain. "Why won't you believe me?"

The senior brothers sighed. "Because we have a silly junior sister who used every one of these tricks over the last three years."

"That silly girl..."

"Show some respect. She's the senior sister now."

"Huh? W-why?"

The senior brothers fell silent for a moment.

"No idea. She said she's the senior sister... so I guess she is."

#She used up every trick, leaving nothing for those who came after#

#The later villains found the script had been torn to shreds#

#No idea, she says she's the senior sister#

Theme: Once you've tried every trick, the path forward becomes the right one.
