Officer Matsuda Is Saving the World in Style

As the saying goes, cats have nine lives.

So how many lives does a cat yokai have?

Cat yokai Matsuda Jinpei, who had just taken a hit for his childhood friend and been pinned down in a hospital bed, had this to say: he didn't want to talk about it.

He really only had a bit of low blood sugar!

Using the abilities in his bloodline gave him more control over his powers, and he gained more memories that weren't supposed to exist.

Things like eight bombs, a rooftop, a car crash, and 5 - 4 = 0...

Cat Matsuda didn't accept those plotlines, so he decided to change the ending.

But even so, when the world's consciousness came crying to Matsuda Jinpei and called him a savior, he was briefly at a loss for words.

Don't just see someone with messy black hair and green eyes and slap the title of savior on him! Has this world really fallen so far that it can only be saved by a kitty?

As everyone knows, the two star agents of the Bomb Disposal Squad share an apartment and keep a cat that looks just like a certain curly-haired man.

Sometimes, people spot Officer Hagiwara wearing an evil grin as he buries his face in the cat's belly for a good sniff, only to get bopped on the head by a paw.

Is it just their imagination, or does the cat look utterly exasperated?

Other times, they see Officer Hagiwara petting Officer Matsuda's hair as if he were stroking a cat, while neither of the people involved seems to think there's anything odd about it.

Everyone at the Metropolitan Police Department: So this is what childhood friends are like... (mind blown)

The Liquor Factory: Rumor has it that Bourbon, the sinister, duplicitous, two-faced man (that is not Matsuda speaking), is a master of intelligence gathering and keeps a strange black cat. They say black cats are symbols of evil, and Bourbon's cat is even more elusive and unusually intelligent.

There's nothing Bourbon doesn't know. The information you went to so much trouble to hide reaches him in the blink of an eye. He's like a spirit at your back, watching you every moment.

In the corner of the room, a black, curly-haired cat silently blends into the darkness, its achievements hidden from view.

[Before You Read]

1. This story has no romantic pairing, but you know how childhood friends in anime and manga are. It also contains an extremely high dose of cat-ification and kink content, as well as side characters shipping couples and making things up about them. Please beware of these triggers. (Please don't read the warnings, click in anyway, and then scold me for your triggers, okay? T_T)

2. Little Jinpei's breed is a completely original one with no real-life equivalent. He looks like a black, curly-haired cat.

3. Little Jinpei has clothes both when he turns into a cat and when he turns back. The answer is magic.

4. This is my first long novel, and I'm working hard to improve where it falls short.
