[Marvel/Iron Man Fanfiction] There Are Stars in His Eyes

Also known as: Iron Man and His Ex-Girlfriend, the College Professor

In 1987, in an MIT parking lot, I handed a wrench to a boy lying under a car.

His name was Tony Stark. He was seventeen, covered in motor oil, and grinning like an idiot.

Later, he pursued me so openly that everyone knew. He said he would love me for the rest of his life, and even wrote code-poems that turned into infinite loops.

But I dumped him because he was too clingy. No one was going to get in the way of my studies.

Many years later, our daughter asked, "Mom, how did Dad win you over?"

Tony cut in, "I won her over when I was seventeen."

"Why?"

Me: "Because I loved him again and again."

Theme: The right person will be part of your future.
