[Harry Potter/Sirius Black Fanfiction] Starlight Beyond the Veil

Also titled: "The Marauders Era: How I, a Slytherin, Won the Gryffindor Heartthrob"

When she was eleven, Astrid Gray met Sirius Black aboard the Hogwarts Express.

His smile was so bright she couldn't look away.

She was an outsider in Slytherin, the daughter of a fallen pure-blood family. He was Gryffindor's shining star, a Black who had run away from home. Everyone said they could never be together.

But she pursued him for five years.

From the Astronomy Tower to the Quidditch pitch, from the library to Hogsmeade, she drew closer to him, step by step. Five years later, he finally lowered his head, looked into her eyes, and said, "I like you."

At Platform Nine and Three-Quarters, the scarlet steam engine would always be waiting for them.
