[The second world is complete and ready to read.] [Coming soon: After Leaving Showbiz, I Returned Home to Open an Animal Farm. That’s what I’m writing next, a story the author is writing purely for herself.]
Shen Qiu had lost his memory. Other than knowing his name was Shen Qiu, he couldn’t remember anything. And... why was he a saker falcon now?
The saker falcon perched on a rock scratched its face with a claw, then calmly ripped the fur off the prey in front of it.
Strange. Why was he so practiced at eating? Wasn’t he supposed to be human?
1: “The Saker Falcon Judge of the Plateau Court”, On a vast, sparsely populated plateau, there lives a saker falcon that loves solving cases. (A white saker falcon with black spots.) Complete.
2: “The Border Collie Dog Trainer in the Police K-9 Unit”, Who says a border collie can’t be a police dog? Hey! You, border collie! The police aren’t even running. Why are you running?! (A merle border collie with mismatched eyes and maxed-out beauty stats.) Complete.
3: “The Siberian Tiger Keeper Who Keeps Bringing Cubs Home”, Chief, look! A tiger pack is migrating across the border and heading home! Endangered cubs? Bring them home! (A purebred Siberian tiger with the character for “king” on its forehead.)
4: “The Wolf King of the Cloudtop Outpost”, A gray wolf among a Himalayan wolf pack becomes both the pack’s king and the outpost’s beloved mascot. I’m a wolf, you know. I can have it both ways!
5: “The Guard Goose at the Police Station”, A lion-head goose that’s a pro at guarding the house and pecking bad guys. (A giant, pure-white lion-head goose.)
...More to come.
As time passed, Shen Qiu gradually remembered that he had been an anti-drug police officer. As for why he still pursued a stable government job after turning into an animal... it seemed to have something to do with a certain belief.
Note: This is the third Shen Qiu story and continues in the same style as the previous ones. You don’t need to read the first two to enjoy it. If you have any ideas about the world Shen Qiu will visit next, feel free to leave a comment.
Coming soon: “After Leaving Showbiz, I Returned Home to Open an Animal Farm”
While filming, Bai Jun accidentally fell off a cliff. At the moment between life and death, he felt an ethereal spirit slip into his body through his neck and repair his broken spine.
From then on, he had another identity.
Mountain God.
Bai Jun, a rising actor in the entertainment industry, suffered an accident while filming and fell off a cliff. No one knew whether he had survived.
Half a year later, Bai Jun, now recovering from a serious illness, returned to his hometown village, already all but forgotten by the entertainment industry.
This village, nestled where Yunnan and Guizhou meet, had towering mountains stretching endlessly into the distance, terraced fields climbing in layers up to a thousand steps, an incomparable animal kingdom like something out of a fairy tale, and “wild” delicacies made from anything you could find.
Bai Jun became the Mountain God of the mountain behind the village, protecting the creatures living throughout its vast range.
Unnoticed by anyone, all kinds of strange animals began gathering on the mountain.
He worked from sunrise to sunset, occasionally filmed some natural scenery to post online and earn one wisp after another of “qi.” Bai Jun settled into a lovely life of growing vegetables, petting the animals that came down from the mountain, and eating and drinking to his heart’s content.
That was until one day, when he “encountered” a handsome masked man who had fallen from the sky while he was climbing the mountain...
Things started to get strange.
A top director from China dragged him into a production, insisting that the god take part. A depressed celebrity who had come to the countryside to recuperate clung to his trouser leg and refused to leave. A researcher devoted to scientific study nearly moved into his fields. A powerful executive plagued by insomnia even moved his office into Bai Jun’s home. Oh, and that one, yes, that special forces soldier! The government sent you to keep an eye on me, not to lay your hands on me!
And all those golden monkeys outside! Put down the radishes I just hung up to dry!
Theme: Serve the country and the people.
