Longing to Hold You Close

Coming soon: I May Be a Psycho, a rebirth story with a woman disguised as a man. See the announcement for details. [Blurb] Xia Chan had been married to Qi Zhiye for seven years. In the summer of their seventh year, Qi Zhiye died in a bloody battle while guarding the border. When his body was brought back, Xia Chan took one look and fainted. When she awoke, she had forgotten her husband and every day of newlywed bliss they had shared. Sitting on the bed, she greeted the crowd hurrying toward her with an anxious but radiant smile. "Excuse me... which one of you is A-Ye?" Xia Chan's memories ended on the second day of her marriage. She remembered marrying the person she loved, but couldn't recall his face. All she knew was that he went by A-Ye. In the deathly silence, a young man with stern features stepped in front of her and clasped her tightly clenched hands. He said, "I am." His name was Qi Zhiye. He was A-Ye's elder brother. * Xia Chan couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong with her husband. He was humorless and cold to everyone, and wouldn't even let her reminisce about the loving days they'd shared. Yet at night, he would hold her tightly around the waist, as though he wanted to devour her whole. She hadn't been allowed out of the house once in an entire month. Even for newlyweds, he had no sense of restraint! At her wit's end, Xia Chan packed her things and sneaked away. Halfway along the road, she ran into a gentle, handsome older brother from next door. He said he was the real A-Ye. "That thief deceived you." The gentle young man smiled and comforted Xia Chan. "It's all right. Let's go home. You and I are the ones made for each other." * Xia Chan was a name many people were afraid to mention. She had been married for seven years. As someone who had loved her from afar, all he could do was wish her and her husband a long, happy life together... What? Her husband is dead? And she's forgotten him? He picked a fine time to die. What a stroke of luck for me. All male characters are virgins. At least four characters. The heroine is a ray of sunshine. Her supposedly dead husband is still alive, and he'll be back.
