Yuan Meili is an ordinary woman who grew up in a small town.

This should have the flavor of an old-school melodrama with a dominant man and a submissive woman. The heroine will go from being bitten by a dog to controlling it with all her might. She has very low self-worth, while the dog thinks far too highly of himself.

The heroine finished high school and studies while working as a dorm supervisor, then takes the university entrance exams. There's not much of a career storyline in this novel; it's about romance.

Her job as a supervisor in the men's dorm is purely for the romantic plot, so don't take it too seriously.

Major warning: The heroine's family of origin is a mess and favors sons over daughters, but she will cut ties with them, and her leech of a younger brother will go to prison.

The heroine's first time is with her first love, not her ordinary husband. The ordinary husband's white-moonlight subplot only comes up when the heroine is sexually deprived and misses the quick, short sessions because her workhorse of a husband can no longer plow the field.
