A Certain Scientific Moon Magic One-line synopsis: Giving the world of Detective Conan a little taste of the Type-Moon experience. Synopsis: When I was seven, I dreamed my sister killed our whole family. After I woke up, I told her about it. She smiled gently and praised me for being a very talented child. So, on the night she killed everyone in our clan, my sister took my hand and led me away from the mountain where we had lived since childhood. I told my sister, “I want to live.” That's why she let me live. After that, my sister handed me over to a witch to raise. The witch ran a very beautiful shop that sold things you couldn't find anywhere else, and only a handful of people could enter. The witch was beautiful and gentle, and I loved her, even if she could be rather mean sometimes. On the day we parted, my sister said she was sorry, that we shouldn't live together. I was very sad because I loved my sister more than anyone. But my sister said we'd meet again someday. When we met again, I would kill her. That made me happy. To make that day come sooner, I would eat well and study hard every day, and do my best to become a magician more powerful than the witch. No, a mage. Then everyone would surely be happy. Excerpt from My Family, an essay by Nayotera Mio, Class 2-A, Teitan Elementary School Kudo Shinichi, who accidentally glimpses his deskmate's homework: “...” “First of all... killing people is wrong. No matter what, you must never kill anyone.” He gave her a deadpan look. “And don't write a novel in your essay. Your teacher will scold you.” “I'm not allowed to?” she asked. “Of course not,” he said. “Human life is precious.” At the time, the girl looked like she only half-understood, but she obediently nodded. Many years later, after being exposed to the worldview-shattering madness of various Type-Moon fanatics, Kudo Shinichi recalled that conversation and felt a deep sense of dread. Who could have known that everything she said was true?! Magicians are seriously insane, aren't they?! Theme: Love, and live.
