Like Father, Like Son

The late emperor passed away, and the court officials all breathed a sigh of relief, while waiting to see one particular person's downfall.

The Qinghe Commandery Princess, Cui Lingwang, was the Great Yan dynasty's only female general and a powerful minister second only to one and above all others. Now her greatest supporter was gone.

Everyone knew that Cui Lingwang held power over the court because she was the late emperor's lover.

Everyone knew that the person the Crown Prince hated most was Cui Lingwang, the woman who had usurped the role of a man.

Everyone waited for Cui Lingwang to fall from power. Everyone thought her head would soon be off her shoulders and her entire clan wiped out...

Those eager to kick her when she was down, those rushing to distance themselves from her, and those hoping to take the chance to make her their caged lover... all got busy making their moves.

But no one expected that after the Crown Prince ascended the throne, the Qinghe Commandery Princess would first be promoted to commandery prince, then made a prince in her own right.

The court officials: "...So sons really do take after their fathers?"

No one knew that the Crown Prince had been in love with his father's lover for over ten years.

Reader's guide:

1. The female lead was not the late emperor's lover. They had neither a sexual nor a romantic relationship. The late emperor had mental problems, and theirs was essentially a dysfunctional doctor-patient relationship.

2. Mary Sue, questionable values, HE.

3. No writing advice of any kind, please.
