A Guide to the Top-Tier Star's Clout-Chasing [Entertainment Industry]

A lazy, laid-back shou x a scheming, workaholic gong

A comedic story about an entertainment industry's top-tier star who tries to leech off a lowly, laid-back nobody, only for the two of them to lead each other astray.

I'm Cheng Nuo, a well-known couch potato in showbiz. My life's goal is to lie flat and keep lying flat.

The top-tier star who moves in next door, Fu Yanci, is the king of workaholics, so disciplined he seems like a machine running on a preset program.

We were perfectly harmonious neighbors (meaning we ignored each other) until a paparazzi photo of “me climbing onto Fu Yanci's balcony” set the internet ablaze.

My manager panics. “Just say you were drunk and went to the wrong door!”

I was about to pretend I'd lost my memory when Fu Yanci grabbed me and declared to my manager, “No need to clear things up. Let's have a contractual relationship.”

Me: “???” Hey, buddy, are you seriously trying to force me into a relationship after mooching off me?

From then on, my lazy paradise was in serious danger.

This “contract boyfriend” brazenly moves into my place, takes over my sofa, and checks up on my takeout orders, all in the name of “building our relationship.”

I finally can't take it anymore. “Fu Yanci, why go to all this trouble to latch onto me?”

He looks at my cozy little den, piled high with comics and snacks. After a long silence, he says with a complicated expression, “Your sofa... really is comfortable to lie on.”
