Zeng Wenchuan, Feng Shui Master

Zeng Wenchuan was one of the four great masters of the Jiangxi school of feng shui and the foremost disciple of Yang Junsong, the grandmaster of feng shui. Together, they founded the legendary village of Sanliao in Xingguo, Jiangxi, the first village of Chinese feng shui, whose history spans a thousand years. After failing the imperial examinations, Zeng Wenchuan encounters Yang Junsong, a court feng shui master being hunted by the imperial court, in a ruined temple. A mysterious fragment of the Book of the Azure Satchel and a fated apprenticeship sweep him into the heart of a world in turmoil. He masters the supreme arts of finding dragon veins and locating auspicious sites, dispelling evil influences and advancing officials’ fortunes. But these arts also force him to face the cruelest of choices: should he help a warlord seize the “Emperor’s Auspicious Site” and claim the realm, or follow his master’s teachings, using feng shui to aid the poor and save the people?

He and his fellow disciple Liao Yu are both friends and rivals. Together, they discover and establish Sanliao, the “first village of Chinese feng shui,” where every blade of grass and every tree conceals the mysteries of heaven and earth. To avenge his master, he engages the warlord Lu Guangchou in a breathtaking feng shui duel, laying a revenge scheme that spans decades. He enters the imperial court and becomes the Imperial Preceptor, using feng shui to choose the capital and control floods, only to become trapped in the deadly whirlpool of palace intrigue.

After defending China’s dragon veins in a final showdown against an evil master from a foreign tribe coveting the Central Plains, his legend does not end… Reborn as a star spirit, he returns to Sanliao in a cycle of fate to continue where he left off.

This is not merely a marvelous tale of feng shui secrets. It is also a stirring epic of growth, choices, inheritance, and protection. Follow an ordinary scholar as he becomes a legendary Earth Immortal, and discover how his spirit and craft have endured for a thousand years and continue to shape the world today.
