Lin Xiaogong was a famous Feng Shui master, astronomer and warlock in the Sui Dynasty. He was a native of Jingzhao County (now Xi'an, Shaanxi Province). He was famous for his proficiency in astronomical arithmetic and predicting disasters and auspiciousness. He was well received by Emperor Wen of the Sui Dynasty. He sacrificed what he had learned throughout his life to reverse the celestial phenomena, but he lost his sight due to leaking the secrets of heaven. He finally went into seclusion and wrote the "Tai Yi Shi Jing", leaving behind the eternal mystery of "Feng Shui saves the world, but fate is inevitable".
