The Pavilion Marquis's Path to Immortality

The story begins when Guan Yu's spirit manifests after his death, and follows his path to godhood. At Mount Yuquan, he receives guidance from Pu Jing, purges his bitter resentment in the Spring of Cleansing Grievances, and follows the counsel of immortals and deities such as Lu Dongbin. In Luoyang, he protects the loyal and righteous and quells vengeful spirits; he enters Fengdu to quell unrest in the City of the Wrongfully Dead and gathers Zhou Cang's former followers. At the Luo River, he helps a lovesick spirit find peace, and in Jiangnan, he defeats a drought demon and slays a snake monster. All along the way, he protects the people with a heart devoted to loyalty and righteousness, resolves old grudges, and accumulates merit. From a mere spirit, he rises to become an Earth Immortal and an inspector of the Three Realms, ultimately attaining the title of Great Emperor Who Quells Demons. His journey reveals the power of loyalty and righteousness to bridge the worlds of the living and the dead and move the Three Realms.
