Feng Shui Master Liao Junqing

# Synopsis: The Greatest Feng Shui Master, Liao Junqing

Liao Junqing, a young man from Sanliao Village in Jiangxi, fishes a fragment of the Mountain-Driving Whip, passed down by Yang Junsong, from the Seven-Star Pool. His early talent for predicting disaster first brings him to prominence. He foretells a bloody conflict at Tiger-Shaped Mountain and uses seven camphor trees to set up a Seven-Star Formation and drive off bandits, winning fame in a single battle.

During the Yongle era, he is summoned to the capital, where he takes on formidable rivals from the qi-theory school with his ancestral compass. He condemns the taboo of “a pig entering a butcher’s home” at Tujia Camp, breaks the baleful influence of “treacherous men lying in wait” at Lang’er Valley, and discovers the true dragon lair of “Nine Dragons Paying Homage” at Tianshou Mountain. When a crisis erupts at a well where spring water surges forth, he raises his whip and cries to the mountain, “The Yongle emperor is here! The flood must stop!” The spring instantly dries up, revealing a stone carp presenting a pearl. The emperor personally inscribes the words “The stars are hidden within” and grants him a title, establishing his place as the royal feng shui master.

He determines the Forbidden City’s central axis, arranges twin dragons to guard Juyong Pass, and neutralizes the Five Ghosts’ baleful force at Miyun, leaving behind a spring for the Imperial Preceptor. Using feng shui to secure the realm and protect its people, he puts out a fire at the Forbidden City with a paper fan and drives off foreign invaders with the Mountain-Driving Whip. His legend spreads across the land. But in his later years, while surveying Tianshou Mountain, he coughs up blood and leaves instructions to be buried in Sanliao on a stormy night. His coffin mysteriously vanishes, leaving only seven mounds of earth arranged as a “heavenly burial ground.” The other half of the Mountain-Driving Whip disappears without a trace, while the Feng Shui Compendium hidden in a stone casket contains a shocking secret: “The Forbidden City’s ultimate baleful force is the fate of the nation.”

Six hundred years later, the Seven-Star Pool dries up and the Mountain-Driving Whip comes to light once more. A descendant of the Liao family takes up the whip and faces a prophecy that “the dragon vein of the Yan Mountains is stirring.” Can this feng shui legacy, passed down across a thousand years, continue its legend of protecting the dragon vein and safeguarding the nation?
