The Hunter's Secret Agent

In 1938, in Northeast China, hunter’s daughter Su Yao knows the mountains and forests like the back of her hand. The Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army recruits her as a spy, and she disguises herself as a peddler to deliver food and relay intelligence about Japanese “mop-up” operations. When she encounters a Japanese sweep team, she evades capture with traps and her knowledge of the terrain, and rescues Xiao Zhan, an injured Anti-Japanese United Army captain. The two lead their forces in a nighttime ambush during a snowstorm, seizing a large cache of weapons and temporarily securing their base area.
