City Hunter: A Bailiff and His Battle of Wits with the Abyss

Beneath the neon lights of the city at midnight, bizarre murders swallow the truth like an abyss. My name is Lin Mo, a judicial police officer with a secret, and I’m used to cutting through layer upon layer of fog with cold logic. When Lu Chenyuan, the “City Hunter,” strides into my world of investigations, all charm and mystery, this game of cat and mouse, with lives on the line, is destined to be fraught with danger.

Bloodstained nursery rhymes, vanishing evidence, hypocrites hiding behind masks… Behind the string of murders lies a revenge plot ten years in the making. We are both allies fighting side by side and adversaries testing one another, our double identities locked in a contest that stirs beneath the surface with every midnight chime. When I find a coin engraved with a strange symbol at a crime scene, I finally realize I was drawn into a vortex darker than the murders long ago. And the man beside me, who always offers warmth in the midst of a crisis, is hiding a secret powerful enough to turn everything upside down.

The abyss is staring at us, and between truth and human nature, we must find a glimmer of hope against the odds.
