A Whirlwind Marriage: The Cold, Aloof Divine Doctor Is Clingy

Su Qingyan, the emergency department's rock at City No. 1 Hospital, is stopped in a hospital corridor by a stranger. “Dr. Su, do me a favor and have a flash wedding?” The man is impeccably dressed in a suit, with cool, sharp features. He is none other than Lu Shiyan, the legendary neurosurgeon said to bring the dead back to life. Su Qingyan looks at the man desperate to escape his family's arranged marriage, then thinks of how her own family has been pressuring her to wed. She gives a slight smile. “Sure, but after the wedding, we go our separate ways.” On the day they register their marriage, she thinks she's signed a “business agreement,” unaware that she has fallen into someone's tender trap.

In public, Lu Shiyan is a frosty genius doctor who keeps everyone at arm's length. He is precise and ruthless in the operating room, patient and gentle with his patients, and as cold as ice toward Su Qingyan. In private, he's clingy to the core. He waits outside Su Qingyan's emergency room late at night for her shift to end, then wraps himself in her coat and pouts. “Qingyan, today's surgeries were exhausting. I need a hug.”

Su Qingyan raises an eyebrow and runs a fingertip along his jaw. “Dr. Lu, didn't we agree to go our separate ways after the wedding?”

Lu Shiyan pulls her into his arms, his voice low and hoarse. “The agreement is void. I want you for the rest of my life.”

Faced with a selfish, sanctimonious schemer, a vicious rival in love, and a devious opponent, Su Qingyan seems gentle and demure, but always stays several steps ahead, resolving each problem one by one. Lu Shiyan, meanwhile, turns into a fiercely protective husband, clearing every obstacle from her path. “Anyone who lays a hand on my woman had better deal with the scalpel in my hand first.”

This is the story of a bickering couple in the medical world, going from a flash marriage to deep love as their lives intertwine in the emergency room and operating theater, writing a sweet and satisfying urban romance.
