Mutual Mind Reading: My Contract Husband Can't Hide a Thing

To put an end to her family's endless nagging about marriage, overworked designer Su Wanxing grits her teeth and signs a fake marriage contract with top-tier star Lu Shiyan. To her, Lu Shiyan is a dazzling flower on a high mountain, radiant onstage and icy in private. Their marriage is nothing more than a deal that benefits them both. But on the very first day the contract takes effect, a strangely compelling inner voice appears in her ear: [My wife's hands are so soft. I want to hold them!] [Did my wife make the soup today? I'm so happy!]

Su Wanxing: “?” Wasn't he supposed to be an aloof heartthrob?

During a variety show livestream, Lu Shiyan is asked to confess his love to her. As Su Wanxing listens to his frantic inner monologue, [Help, I'm so nervous! Will my wife think I'm being cheesy?], she keeps a straight face and scoffs inwardly: What terrible acting. That night, Lu Shiyan corners her by the bedroom wall, eyes red. Dropping all pretense, he says hoarsely, “Everyone tells me to act like I'm in love, but I only want to be sincere with you. Wanxing, will you teach me how to kiss you for real?”

From contract partners who constantly undermine each other to soulmates who depend on one another, their secret ability to read each other's minds becomes the catalyst that brings them closer. As career crises and family upheavals arrive one after another, his protective acts belie his words, and his inner thoughts give him away on the spot. In the end, this pretend romance can only end with true love.
