The Dessert Chef’s One and Only CEO

Beneath the neon lights of the modern city, Su Wanxing is the disowned daughter of the Su family. With her extraordinary dessert-making skills, she opens a little shop called Star Sweets on a street corner, using her treats to soothe the weary customers who come and go. Gu Ye Han, head of the Gu Group, is cursed with the fate of a “solitary star,” bringing misfortune to everyone around him. The world sees him as an ill omen, and he has grown used to keeping to himself, cold and distant.

One day, drawn in by the sweet aroma wafting from Star Sweets, Gu Ye Han steps inside and falls at first sight for the warmth and focus in Su Wanxing’s eyes. At first, afraid of his cursed fate, he dares not approach her, yet he can’t help returning to the shop again and again, protecting her in his own domineering way. Faced with this powerful CEO, Su Wanxing is initially wary, but gradually finds herself moved by the tenderness he keeps hidden.

But then Su Wanxing’s greedy relatives, a “fair-weather” best friend who turns on her despite all the kindness she has shown her, and a charlatan coveting the Gu family fortune all come after them, hoping to ruin their relationship. To protect Su Wanxing, Gu Ye Han breaks free of the shackles of his fate and confronts the danger head-on. Su Wanxing, too, uses her wits and courage to strike back at the villains and protect their love. When the misunderstandings are cleared up and their former distance gives way to deep affection, Gu Ye Han begins his long pursuit of his wife, making up for the regrets of the past with all the tenderness he has to give for the rest of his life, and writing a romantic legend set against a modern urban sci-fi backdrop.
