Shattered Glaze: With the Lisen Sword, She Guards Luo Ke for a Thousand Years

The moment Wang Luoke, daughter of a cloth merchant, encounters Li Sen, the leader of the Shadow Pavilion, at the Tingyu House, the threads of fate begin to entwine. She has come to investigate the counterfeiting of her family’s fabrics, while he seeks to expose the collusion between officials and merchants. As they fight over a ledger, Li Sen recognizes the jade pendant at her waist: the token belonging to the person who saved his life ten years ago.

From the counterfeit warehouse at the Jinxiu Pavilion to the hidden mechanisms in the Murong residence, from fighting their way out together on a rainy night in Jiangnan to facing each other in a life-or-death confrontation at court in the capital, their paths repeatedly cross amid conspiracies. With a weaver’s keen eye, Wang Luoke deciphers the ledger’s coded messages. With the sharp instincts of the Shadow Pavilion’s leader, Li Sen cuts through the fog surrounding those in power. Yet neither knows that the counterfeiting scheme conceals a shocking plot to embezzle disaster-relief funds, or that it is tied to the treasonous conspiracy of powerful officials such as Ouyang Xinhai.

When Li Sen is framed and imprisoned, Wang Luoke travels the martial world with evidence in hand, searching for witnesses. When war breaks out on the border, Li Sen lies awake all night in his tent, running his fingers over the safety charm she embroidered for him. From the dangerous ruse of faking his death to the resolute search for clues at an abandoned temple, from standing together against an epidemic in the disaster zone to arguing for their lives in the Golden Hall, they forge their love amid flashing blades and protect each other through the vortex of political schemes.

When the dust finally settles, Li Sen retires to the countryside, and Wang Luoke’s cloth shops have spread across the land. The white-haired old couple still sit in the courtyard, basking in the warm sun, and remember the rain on the day they first met. It turns out that every heart-pounding political struggle was only a prelude to one promise: “To hold hands and grow old together.”
