The Reborn Old Woman Flips the Coffin and Kicks Her Unfilial Son Away

As Lü Na drew her final breath, the only thing she could hear was her children and grandchildren arguing over the family fortune. Her eldest son had gambled away everything, her second son had secretly sold the old house, her youngest daughter had been married off to a fool in an arranged match, and her husband had turned a blind eye to it all... Her eyes blazed with rage, and suddenly she opened them beneath the lid of her coffin.

She was back fifty years in the past. Her eldest daughter, Shen Rui, was being forced to bow her head as she sobbed, while the fool Wang Bisuo's betrothal gifts sat on the table. Her eldest son, Li Shiping, was sneaking off to the gambling den with stolen ration coupons in his pocket. Her husband, Li Shihu, puffed on a cigarette and said, “A daughter belongs to someone else sooner or later.” Lü Na grabbed a carrying pole and overturned the wedding table. “No one gets to mistreat my daughter!”

This time, she would no longer be the pushover everyone could control. She tore up the marriage contract and protected her daughter as she left the village to learn a trade. She dragged her gambling son to the ancestral hall and made him read out his IOUs. She took her younger son, who had stolen the house deed, to court. She even forced her biased husband to experience what it meant to be abandoned by everyone. She helped her honest third son start a business and sent her youngest daughter, Shen Ruitian, to college. Even the village bully, Ba Niu, who had once picked on her, was publicly exposed.

From the carrying pole she used to stop the wedding to the account books of the cooperative, Lü Na went from being called a “crazy old woman” to becoming the backbone of the whole village. She spent half her life turning her family from a scattered mess into a united whole. When her children and grandchildren stood before her holding awards, profit statements, and college acceptance letters, and her husband said with red eyes, “I was wrong,” Lü Na looked at her family gathered around her and finally understood: being reborn wasn't about revenge. It was about pulling her family out of hell and bringing them back to the human world with her own hands.
