Love Entwined in the Flames of the Sixties

A turbulent era swept away Lan Jindie’s privileged identity as a capitalist’s daughter, yet forged her into the resilient “Yunxi Butterfly” through wind and rain. A turbulent time gave Wang Bisuo a soldier’s steely sense of duty and led him to the love of his life.

Together, they transmigrated through the fervor of the Great Leap Forward and endured the hunger and cold of three years of natural disasters, holding fast to their principles amid the storm of cultural criticism. Lan Jindie wove a path to progress with her design blueprints, while Wang Bisuo defended the light of justice with his fervent loyalty. Together, they fought against the dark schemes of the Yan family.

As their black hair turned white, their story spread from the old locust tree in Yunxi Village to every corner of the republic. The loving gaze they shared at their golden wedding anniversary and the holographic images in the memorial hall both tell of a legendary love and steadfast faith that crossed a century.
