Rich information and basically appropriate comments
This book is very interesting! It tells the history after the founding of New China and allowed me to understand how people of that era worked hard to solve various problems. I particularly enjoyed the parts of the book about politics and diplomacy, which felt complex yet engaging. However, I don't like some of the characters, such as the overly conservative officials. Overall, this is a book worth reading that allows us to look at China's development from a different perspective.
Writing is okay. More realistic and comprehensive. However, the information quoted seems to have been published, and there is very little real inside information.
See China from another angle
Okay, not bad. The point of view is unique
The lesson people learn from history is that they never learn from history
