The Complete History of the Han Empire (5 Volumes)

Compare "The Qin Empire" and "The Han Empire". I started reading The Qin Empire in junior high school, and have read it on and off for several years. I have only finished one of the six books. It is one of my favorite books. Professor Sun portrayed the social environment and characters very vividly, making me feel as if I had lived a lifetime in that era. Wei Yang, Zhang Yi, Bai Qi, King Zhao Wuling, Ying Yiren, Lu Buwei, and Ying Zheng are like friends from my previous life to me, not just characters in the book. I really wanted to know what happened after the Qin Empire, so I read this book The Han Empire. These are two completely different types of books. Although there are too many characters and the space is limited, the portrayal of the characters is certainly not as vivid as that of the Qin Empire, but it is still more humorous and easier to understand than the history books. Relying on extremely concise language, in just one month, the author allowed me to understand the rise and fall of the Han Dynasty over hundreds of years, as well as important historical events and figures. The author not only summarizes historical facts, but also integrates many ancient books and gives his own opinions. This is something I appreciate very much. I am very grateful to the author for his persistence over the past twelve years and completing this excellent work!!!

It makes people understand this great history better to a certain extent. Although it is not very popular, I still read it piece by piece. It gave me a clearer understanding of the characters that I thought I knew before, or the characters I had a one-sided understanding of, and a better understanding of the historical process. It is a good book worth recommending 👍

The overall writing is good, but some sentences are not concise enough. In addition, the story ends abruptly when Zhuge Liang dies, which is a bit abrupt, but it is acceptable. After all, most people are familiar with the history of the Three Kingdoms period. I have read The Romance of the Three Kingdoms several times when I was a child, and most of them did not want to continue reading until Zhuge Liang died. In addition, I recommend a book "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" to other book friends who want to read the history of the Three Kingdoms.

A book that high school students can read. Connect the history of the Han Dynasty. Going deeper is not enough. The transformation of the system, the changes in society, and the exploration of human nature. Not enough. But the author is a doctor. It is very rare for a doctor to write a history book. Besides, this book is clearly organized and prioritized. The main purpose is to explain the events clearly. It's much better than the crappy books on the Internet today that just make up for the word count. We Chinese people's writing skills are very low now. I suggest you read this (kind of) book to understand the historical events first, and then read the ancient books carefully. You will definitely benefit a lot. After all, the things our ancestors left to us will not harm us.

I like that this book starts from historical facts and tells the historical evolution from Qin to the Three Kingdoms. It is not as popular as a novel, but it is also exciting. At the same time, it adds the author's own analysis and understanding, showing readers a credible historical picture. I just feel that the writing is not in-depth enough, and the organization is a little confusing in some places. In addition, it would be better if the place names mentioned in the book could be marked with the current place names in parentheses.

This book is rich and detailed. From the founding of the Western Han Dynasty, to the peak of the Han Empire, and then to the decline of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Mr. Shi Jiepeng depicts a three-dimensional Han Empire for us from a grand historical perspective. He not only focused on politics and military affairs, but also explored various aspects such as economy, culture, and technology in depth, giving us a more comprehensive understanding of that era. After reading this book, I was deeply shocked. The glorious era of the Han Empire seems to be reappearing before our eyes. We marvel at the heroes of that era for their wisdom, courage and heroic ambition. At the same time, I also deeply regret that that glorious era is gone forever.

So well written. After reading "The Great Qin Empire", I am still not satisfied. I hope to find a novel about the Han Dynasty that respects historical facts and is interesting and readable. I finally found it. Thank you Mr. Wang for his 12 years of hard work. I read it in one sitting. Planning to re-read...

Easy to understand, with some depth, great book!

The Complete History of the Han Empire not only records the major events of the entire Han Dynasty, but also describes the introduction to the major events. The language is easy to understand and allows people to understand the more than 400 years of Han Dynasty history. It is a very good book!

You made me understand the history of Han Dynasty very well, thank you
