King of the Birds

In November 2012, the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China placed ecological civilization at the forefront, and Laomao Mountain was incorporated into the core area of a national nature reserve. Zhou Zhimin answered the call and established the Laomao Mountain Bird Rescue Station, beginning a lifelong bond with birds. Over the past thirty years, he has rescued more than 2,000 birds protected under national first- and second-class categories, as well as the three-protection category, earning widespread praise as the King of Birds.
