The Hidden Treasures of Culture

At the end of his rope, cultural creative designer Yu Jiaao seeks inspiration in poetry, prose, and classical texts under the guidance of a local expert in traditional Chinese studies. He produces a variety-show-style period television program, Fragrant Courtyard, which offers creative interpretations of classic Chinese culture, then goes on to develop Dreaming of Ancient Times, an immersive live-action period role-playing game. He joins forces with a group of grassroots performers to compete fiercely against famous entertainment programs and internet celebrities. Just as the nation calls for "bringing the words in ancient books to life," Fragrant Courtyard and Dreaming of Ancient Times reach audiences through online platforms and satellite TV, make a spectacular comeback, and become major successes.
