A Picturesque Mountain Village

Longzhou County, Chongzuo City, Guangxi is located on the southwest border of the motherland, bordering Vietnam. Due to its special geographical location, Longzhou County has experienced several wars in history, resulting in a weak foundation for economic development, a large number of poor people, a wide coverage of poverty, and a deep degree of poverty. It is a key county for national poverty alleviation and development work. In 2015, the Party Central Committee made the decision to win the battle against poverty, sounding the clarion call for the battle against poverty. Longzhou County actively responded to the call of the Party Central Committee, and the cadres and masses of the county rose to the challenge with one heart! With the cooperation of the counterpart poverty alleviation in Heshan City, Jiangmen, Guangdong, the road to poverty alleviation through rural industrial development and relocation of "to both get rid of poverty and defend the border" was opened. In just three years, the poverty profile of Longzhou, a border mountain town, has undergone fundamental changes, marking the first step in getting rid of poverty in Guangxi's "nationally designated poverty-stricken county"! Poor households moved out of poverty, cut off the roots of poverty, and moved into a happy new home! In this mountainous town, a new home has undergone tremendous changes. In the picture scroll, there are not only many portraits of rural and border people in the new era who are eager to get rich, but also the glorious deeds of many poverty alleviation cadres such as Yang Tao. There are also fresh stories of young mountain and rural youths such as Liang Jianshu and Li Yuexiu who have transformed from poor households into "chairmen" and "bosses".
