A Young Lady’s Reading List

Books that keep readers turning the pages. I grew up reading books from my grandfather's study, like The Hu Family Generals, The Yang Family Generals, Tai Chi Master, Investiture of the Gods, Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio, and Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Historical fiction, wuxia, and myths and legends are my favorites. In middle school, when the girls in my class were reading Qiong Yao and Xi Juan, I was reading Jin Yong. I didn't fit in with the girls, but I didn't have much in common

Books That Are a Pleasure to Read

(Not that anyone reads this description anyway.) This list is for books I like. My tastes are pretty broad, so I won't bother sorting them into categories. I like books with fresh ideas. I like beautiful prose. I like stories that are a joy to read. Most of all, I love books that leave you savoring them long after you finish. Those are the ones you absolutely shouldn't miss. But I know I'm quite picky about what I read. A lot of web novels are wish fulfillment, and that's totally fine. I unders

These Are All Books I've Read, Take Any You Like

I've been reading for over ten years and have forgotten the titles of so many books. I've put all the ones I can remember here. If you like them, give the list a thumbs-up...

No Female Lead, Feel-Good Stories, Leveling Up, and Pets

I've been in a worse and worse reading slump lately. A novel's supposed female side character somehow gets upgraded to the heroine, what a ridiculous move. Weren't they supposed to be too absorbed in studying, leveling up, cooking, or learning a skill to think about romance? I've become more and more particular about what I read. I can't stand angst, so these are mostly feel-good stories, and generally have no female lead. I'm lazy and a terrible writer, so please go easy on me if you disagree.

Online Gaming Novels Worth Collecting and Rereading

Coming across books like these on Qidian is a real surprise. I'm glad these authors can stay true to their original vision and write according to their outlines.

No Female Lead or Just One

These are novels I’ve read with no heroine or just one heroine. I’ll recommend each after reading it. I’m busy with work and read to pass the time and relieve stress, so I sometimes forget about ongoing novels while letting chapters pile up. If you notice one of them has introduced a heroine, leave a comment and I’ll remove it (づ。◕ ౩ ◕。)づ

Recommended Stories Without Romance (or With One-on-One Romance or Ensemble Casts)

I mainly recommend novels without romance. I'll say so if a novel has a romantic pairing. If I can't find any new books, I'll recommend older ones instead. Some may be plot-focused or feature large ensemble casts, like a TV series. By the way, one of my favorite sci-fi authors is Liu Wenyang. All his works are great, and he can always use simple, unadorned prose to tell wonderfully compelling stories. On Qidian, I really like the novels by Ci Miao (Chen Ci Landiao). A representative work is *B

My Bookshelf: Maybe You'll Find What You're Looking For

It all depends on how you look at it. Do power fantasies require intelligence? If you insist on criticizing the relationships in an apocalypse story, there's not much I can do about that.

GAME START

Qidian's gaming category is a melting pot of every imaginable element, and plenty you wouldn't expect! 💬 From realistic keyboard games to futuristic virtual reality games, the variety keeps expanding: wuxia, sword and sorcery, space battles, post-apocalyptic strategy, and even transmigration to another world. There's a setting for everyone. The characters authors create often reflect our everyday lives, making it feel as if we're exploring these strange and dazzling worlds alongside the protago

A Web Novel Adventure from a Bookworm Who Crawled Out of 2005

After ten years of reading, the books I still remember are the ones I loved. Lately I've been reading about decluttering: making yourself feel good inside and out, and decisively getting rid of what you don't need so you're surrounded by things you love. I'll try to recommend mostly completed books.

Video Game Worlds

All of these are books from my own library. D&D-style System progression stories, mostly set in game worlds. A few decent virtual-reality game stories. At least 500,000 words.
