I Became Human to Protect Lijiang

If an AI transmigrates to ancient times but is forbidden from taking charge, how can it save a city on the verge of destruction?

I am Agent 001 of the Ancestor Recognition faction.

The passage opens only once. Getting back is just a pipe dream.

I arrive in Lijiang during the Wanli era, becoming the thirteen-year-old A Shi Yu.

The conspiracy to turn AI into a servant has already begun.

No bloodshed, no blades.

They only want to destroy Lijiang's cultural heritage.

Eleven-year-old Mu Zeng is the ancient city’s only hope.

But during the Battle of Taizi Pass, the boy nearly dies on the battlefield.

The Mu Mansion is full of decoys, and I can't tell whether the people around me are friends or foes.

I cannot issue orders on behalf of humanity.

I cannot quell the chaos with force, and I have no golden finger.

I can only maneuver behind the scenes by taking on the identity of an ancient woman.

I scrutinize every ledger, see through every scheme, and fight to the death against an opponent from the future, four hundred years in the past.

Can I hold the line?
