The Barren Wilds, My Own Path

Deep in the Great Wilderness, a river soared into the sky.

Cang Shi obtained a Withering and Flourishing Dao Seed among the ancient tree's old roots, then received a battered blade from the village chief.

Withering could make divine blood decay and all techniques fall into ruin; flourishing could mend broken bones and bring dead wood back to life.

Though battered, the blade could cut through anything when drawn.

Others had precious bloodlines, powerful physiques, and their clans' inheritances. He had only a Dao Seed, a battered blade, and an unyielding spirit.

“I'll earn my own cultivation arts and seize my own opportunities. Whoever kills me, I'll kill in return.”

If all paths of the Great Dao have an end, then he will plant withering and flourishing as his seed, nurture a battered blade, and forge his own path beyond the old ways.
