Embers of the Abyss

Beyond the present world lies an abyss, where fate and serpents dwell, and an order apart from the world he knows. The so-called heavenly mandate pursued by the Awakened, the great sins of the many realms of the Abyss.

Knights and the Abyss, gods and the Awakened: a young man sets out on this path.

I'm almost taking the college entrance exam. What am I supposed to do with someone I picked up on the roadside? Does this mean I've just signed up to save the world?

What do you mean I look like a villain? Come on, I'm clearly the one who looks more like the protagonist!

Turns out that annoying squirrel wasn't a hallucination. Pushed along by it, Yining set out on a completely different path, though... it seems to be full of traps?

Where did the traps come from? Don't ask.

Do I want to save the world, or live a happy life?

Why even ask? Obviously, I want both.

Allow me to introduce myself again. I'm the most virtuous knight of the new generation, the flame that burns the Abyss, the one who defies the heavenly mandate, the terrifying little fire guy, the One Who Returns to One, and the protagonist.

My name is Yining.
