Officer Bo’s Police Files: The Hunter

Jiang Bo, 35, leads the Major Crimes Unit of the Jiangcheng Criminal Investigation Brigade. He has an unstable, unusual ability known as “passive profiling”: by touching objects left at crime scenes, he can “see” fragmented images. The ability brings on severe headaches and serves only as an aid; solving cases still depends on solid investigative work and his intimate knowledge of Jiangcheng’s geography. Through three cases spanning different eras, the 1999 unidentified young girl case, the 2023 case of night runner Li Hongmei, and the 2024 case of night runner Fang Min, he uncovers a chain of crimes hidden beneath the waters of the Jiangcheng River and ultimately brings two generations of “hunters” to justice.
