From Cocoon to Butterfly

At the end of the twentieth century, a woman named Sang Xiaoyu and her husband opened a luxury hotel. She thought their lives would take off and soar, but disaster struck without warning, bringing them back to square one overnight. On the day the hotel opened, a mistake in the kitchen sparked a fire and explosion. Debts of astronomical proportions landed on her shoulders. Through a series of difficult choices, Sang Xiaoyu grew from a hothouse flower into a towering tree. She not only brought warmth to herself, but also sheltered those around her who had once helped her. Through her own experiences, Sang Xiaoyu witnessed and took part in the development of a society undergoing change, meeting its complexities and the fickleness of human nature with a sunny outlook.
