Hardcore Variety Show: Starting with Catching Snakes Barehanded

Lu Hao transmigrates to a parallel world and becomes a low-level entertainer whose contract is about to expire. He gets an offer to appear on a wilderness survival livestream variety show. It has no big-name stars or lavish production, and doesn’t look like it has any chance of becoming a hit. But Lu Hao needs the money, so he agrees to participate.

The production team requires every entertainer to survive alone on a deserted island, without providing food or drinking water, while livestreaming the entire time.

Faced with this predicament, the other entertainers panic.

Lu Hao, however, stays calm. From the start, he binds himself to a Hardcore Skills System.

Newbie pack: Snake venom immunity +1.

Mission: Catch a snake with your bare hands.

Reward: Parasite immunity +1.

From then on, Lu Hao’s hardcore stunts leave netizens astonished again and again.

He holds a two-meter-long venomous snake in his hands and toys with it like it’s a plaything.

After a while, he casually pulls out its gallbladder and swallows it whole.

To find food, Lu Hao leaps into the sea and holds his breath for half an hour.

To pick herbs growing on a cliff, he pulls off an unbelievable feat of bare-handed rock climbing.

Netizens are stunned by Lu Hao’s hardcore stunts. Before anyone realizes it, the show that had initially attracted no attention becomes a hit.

The moment Lu Hao’s name climbs the trending charts, his agent calls and says warmly, “Lu Hao, the company wants to renew your contract. We all believe in you!”
