Hello, Would You Like an Angel?

[Currently drafting]

Chu Lingyin has practiced Taoism since childhood. After eighteen years, she has never seen a single spirit being.

At last, when she turns eighteen, she catches one.

Chu Lingyin: Whoa! Those huge wings! That has to be a giant bird that's been cultivating for a thousand years and gained a spirit!

Overjoyed, Chu Lingyin burns paper offerings, lays out a formation, and gets to work.

After more than half an hour of effort, the Spirit-Binding Cosmos Bag shows no reaction at all.

Chu Lingyin: Damn! I bought a fake on Pinduoduo!

Big-Winged One: ...?

·

After all that, Chu Lingyin finally figures out what the other one is.

Chu Lingyin: Hi. You might not believe this, but my parents secretly raised a big-winged illegitimate daughter overseas, and brought her back to add her to our family registry.

Big-Winged One: I'm an angel. (Serious face.jpg)

? Wait, I was just being polite. You really want to be added to my family registry?

And where the hell do angels come from in a world of the occult?

·

Later...

·

Chu Lingyin: Hi. Have you ever met an angel? This one's mine, and mine alone. -v-

The Angel Herself: ...?
