A Summer of Stars

I fell from the starry sky and landed in a muddy pit.

I groped around in the mud and found a stone.

I looked down on the stone, I slandered the stone, I felt sorry for the stone, I fell in love with the stone.

Then I suddenly realized that I was the stone, mired in the muddy pit and covered in filth, while she was the star in the distant sky, beyond my reach.
