The Sixth Summer of Butterfly Blossoms

The sixth summer when the butterfly orchids bloomed

I look toward the window

Outside, everything is so vivid, so bright, so beautiful

Beauty left untended

But the purple butterfly orchid, alone on the table and carefully tended in its vase,

inevitably

breaks into pieces, scattered fragments

I don't say sweet things often, but, baby, my love isn't silent. You've just forgotten.

But it's all right. You'll remember eventually.

Maybe one day I won't remember much about us either. But whenever I see you again, I will always remember that meeting you was something beautiful in my barren world.

The sixth summer when the butterfly orchids bloomed, I still loved you.

With every new day, I will fall in love with you all over again.
