Wu Xingjian is a little fox. As a little demon who can take human form, he's recently run into a tricky problem.

He's fallen for a human and wants to cuddle up with him and go home.

But the human hates him and won't let him near the tent.

When the human sees him: A wild fox!! Shooing him away, then secretly taking a ton of pictures.

Wu Xingjian paws at the snow with his tiny front paws: QAQ, why are you so mean!

Late at night, the fox-eared, long-haired boy, fed up with the situation, unzips the tent and slips into the human's warm sleeping bag, bringing a whole lot of cold with him.

He swears he'll freeze this human to death!

The night before leaving Wujian Mountain, a tiny kitten crawls into Xu Guiqi's arms, pressing away with its front paws and licking him all over with its rough tongue.

Xu Guiqi grabs the culprit: Σ( ° △ °|||)︴ "A cat?"

Wu Xingjian: O.o "Yow?"

"...That's an awful sound."

Wu Xingjian gets mad, raises a little cat paw, and bestows a swipe on the ungrateful human.

"Meow meow, yowl yowl, meow!!"

"And a feisty little cross-dresser, too."

Xingjian: ╰ (‵□′)╯ You're the feisty little cross-dresser! Your whole family are little cross-dressers!

As a fox pretending to be a cat, Wu Xingjian is always nervous about being found out. He's timid when humans are around, but when they're gone, he runs wild and rules the world.

Xu Guiqi is used to it. He pretends not to notice, though every now and then he has to point something out.

"Why did your fur change color again?"

"Cats' eyes don't look like that."

"Tuck your ears away."

"Good boy, you really do have a few too many tails..."

After Xu Guiqi points things out, it takes less than half an hour for his cat to change back to normal and bounce along behind him like an exuberant puppy.

Xu Guiqi: "…" Not quite a cat, not quite a dog.

At last, one day, Xu Guiqi looks at the multicolored kitten and can't help asking, "Could you be a little demon?"

Wu Xingjian bristles all over. "Meow meow meow!!" Human, you've crossed the line!

Xu Guiqi brings a friend to see his kitten that never grows up.

Wu Xingjian plays along with Xu Guiqi's bragging, lying bonelessly in his friend's palm and acting like a fox possessed by a flirtatious spirit.

Friend: "Why is this cat... so hot?"
