The Best Healer [Holographic]

(A full-dive online game novel, pure wish fulfillment, not too long. Just writing for fun, hoping to have a good time.)

Yang Xi is twenty-two, fresh out of college. One day, while running around under the scorching sun to go to job interviews as usual, she opens her phone and sees a notification:

"A Creation to End All Creations: Xi He Arrives."

Looking at the eight bold, calligraphic characters that have popped up at the top of her screen, Yang Xi thinks her phone's security app is completely useless. It never blocks the ads that flood her phone every day.

But she's in line and has nothing else to do, so she taps it to take a look.

What is this, and how dare it call itself a creation to end all creations?

When she opens the notification, a square image appears, styled like a sheet of fine paper. A black logo is painted across it in broad strokes, the two characters Xi He clearly designed with care.

"A fine steed, a fragrant carriage, and flowers to intoxicate; bring your zither and sword, and ride beneath the moon. Young hero, make ready: the jianghu awaits."

"A work that will change the era, transforming the world of online games. The full-dive online game Xi He will launch its global open beta in seven days, on August 17 at 10 a.m. Eastern Eight Zone Time. All servers will open simultaneously. Stay tuned."

"..."

Under the brilliant August sun, Yang Xi stands by the glass window, staring dazedly at the dark gold signature in the lower-right corner of the image.

Ark Creation Studio.

...It's been a long time.

Seven years of closed beta, and it's finally here.

Yang Xi stands still for a long while, then looks up at the long line of people. In the end, she turns and walks straight out without looking back. As she steps outside, she casually tosses her resume into the trash can by the door.

After more than twenty years, she's finally going to live for herself, truly and completely.

She still regrets giving up professional gaming back then. At twenty-two, maybe it's not too late.

She lowers her head and carefully browses the newly launched official game website, thinking:

The east wind has arrived. I'll rise with it.

A full-dive wish-fulfillment novel. The male lead has a minor presence.

Theme: Do what you want to do.
