Seeing the Sun

Tang Mianzhi's name was chosen by her grandfather. Back when she still lived in the mountains, she only knew herself as Liu Xu'er.

Her grandfather said, "Willow fluff drifts lightly. It's not a good name. How about Mianzhi? There's a verse about willow catkins blowing away from the branches, and it means willow fluff too. What do you think?"

And so, from then on, Liu Xu'er became Tang Mianzhi.

A story about childhood, the future, growing up, love, and goodbyes. It follows a girl's youth: her hopes, her innocence, her admiration, her caution, the bitterness that is sometimes brightened by joy, and the backbone that gradually grows strong and stands tall.

[In the black mountains, the village is like a tiny moon. Liu Xu'er comes down from the mountains, riding the wind and following the water, on her way to the blue sky.]

Through the clouds, the sun appears; onward, toward the light.

Couple: Tang Mianzhi/Jing Xu

Thorns and slender willows both resemble girls.
