[Haikyuu!!] Does This Coach Really Have to Take the Job?

Dongdou Yu, a volleyball prodigy who made a name for himself as a teenager.

After graduating high school, he went abroad to play for a club. His distinctive style broke down discrimination against Asians on European and American courts.

But his playing style was too hard on his body, and he pushed himself to the limit. At a young age, his joints suffered irreversible damage.

Under an intense schedule, he tore the meniscus in his knee for the third time...

His attending physician warned him that if he kept this up, he might never be able to walk again.

So, at the request of his parents and friends, he decided to retire at his peak and return to Japan to take it easy.

Day Three of Retirement:

He picked up a lively orange-haired kid...

Day N of Retirement:

...His students had all made names for themselves in the world of volleyball.

Dongdou Yu: Wasn't I supposed to be taking it easy? Why am I worrying about the future of Japanese volleyball every single day?!
