Those Years I Was Han Wudi's Ancestor

Liu Ji couldn’t resist his curiosity and entered a fascinating game. It was called Building a Thousand-Year Clan Starting in the Western Han. The starting date was the first year of Yuanshuo under Emperor Wu of Han. Then he nearly died of rage! First playthrough. He started out as a merchant and accumulated wealth, but then the court ordered the reinstatement of the property-tax system. Merchants had to pay a hefty tax on their assets. He secretly hid a little extra instead of fully complying, only to be reported for tax evasion! Second playthrough. He avoided being reported and carefully paid his taxes, only to be arrested in the crackdown that followed the standardization of the Five-Zhu coins. Third playthrough. He successfully expanded his family’s wealth and became a rich man with powerful connections. He planned to groom talented people in the next generation, but then the Incident of the Gold Deduction and Peerage Stripping broke out. His patron fell, and someone took the opportunity to murder him for his money. Fourth playthrough... Fifth playthrough... Sixth playthrough. Liu Ji decided to give up on making a name for himself during Emperor Wu’s reign and lie low until the next reign before starting over. But then came the Witchcraft Crisis. Crown Prince Wei armed the people of Chang’an and fought a battle, and Liu Ji’s character died in an accident. ...Wait a minute! There’s something wrong with this stupid game! Furious, Liu Ji decided to go all out in his seventh playthrough. He had no idea why Emperor Wu was right there as soon as he loaded into the game, but it didn’t matter. He charged over and slapped him hard across the face. Here was the problem. The sensation felt real, the crowd was horrified, and he saw the glint of swords. Most importantly, he didn’t hear the System’s notification sound. It seemed he had transmigrated into the game. He didn’t know his current identity or the time period, but his survival instinct made him shout, “How could I have a great-grandson as useless as you?” Liu Che, the great-grandson: “...” What did that mean? Had Emperor Gaozu appeared to them in person? #What’s wrong with pretending to be Liu Bang if it keeps me alive? #Most Han emperors have the posthumous title “Xiao.” Liu Che has the nerve to create trouble for his own ancestor. #The failures of six playthroughs are valuable experience. #Anyway, I’ve transmigrated, so I might as well let loose and have fun first. Additional notes: 1. I really am not trying to bash Emperor Wu of Han. He’s the second protagonist. This is essentially an ensemble story set during his reign, but the protagonist has to have a good time. Please don’t give false warnings: Emperor Wu doesn’t believe the protagonist’s nonsense right away. 2. The protagonist will make a name for himself in ancient times and will also return to the modern era. Some of the changes made in ancient times will carry forward, but the story doesn’t involve modern history. 3. This is a niche subject. You don’t have to like it, and you can choose not to read it, but please don’t report it. Theme: Rewrite regrets and help usher in a golden age.
