Shrouded in Mist

Lin Xia is a food delivery rider. By accident, she learns that she is the drug lord's illegitimate daughter, and in her panic, she is swept into a vast conspiracy.

As yellowed photographs, bloodstained diaries, and encrypted USB drives appear one after another, memories of a laboratory and the dark past of an orphanage basement gradually come to light.

The person she thought had saved her turns out to be the mastermind. The undercover cop she trusted with all her heart is hiding another identity. Even her biological parents' true identities are a mystery.

As a new kind of drug becomes entangled with experiments in memory alteration, and senior police officials collude with a drug cartel, Lin Xi pieces together the clues amid gunfire, betrayal, and lies.

Every step closer to the truth pushes her toward an even deeper blood-red abyss. Will salvation await her in the end, or another, even greater conspiracy?
