[Western Crossover] Jason's Merit System

Jason discovered as an infant that there was a strange voice in his head. But whenever he tried to tell anyone about it, he would mysteriously lose his voice. As time went by, the voice became his secret.

This mysterious voice stayed with Jason for a long time. It greeted him, reminded him of things he had forgotten, and told him stories at night... It also led Jason to believe for a long time that it was his second personality. That is, except whenever he did what was supposedly a good deed, when the voice would add, [Karma +1].

Then one day, after Jason heard [Karma +2], the voice suddenly said, [Karma requirement met. Exchange feature available. Exchange feature activated.] That's when he finally realized that the second personality he had always believed in was actually a Karma System.

As he looked at the exchange screen that had suddenly appeared before him, he felt that something had changed somewhere, and yet everything seemed as it always had. Jason tentatively reached out and explored the Karma System that had grown up with him, so familiar yet a little strange...

And so...

Because he was starving, Jason exchanged for [A Loaf of Bread]. After helping a woman pick up her scattered belongings, she gave him her lunch to thank him.

After barely meeting his basic need for food, Jason exchanged for [Intermediate Lockpicking]. After completing several prerequisite quests for the System, he successfully learned the skill, though he ultimately lost his battle against the Batmobile's lock...

After being adopted by the Black Bat, Jason exchanged for [Intermediate Emotional Psychology] to get along peacefully with his family. Though he never got to use it where he had imagined, at least it helped him defuse tension during family talks.

After becoming Robin, Jason exchanged for [Energy Supplement], which in a sense eliminated most of his need for sleep. He was bright-eyed and energetic every day.

Facing the Joker's crowbar attack, Jason exchanged for [Advanced Escape Techniques]. With his adrenaline surging, he dodged most of the blows and magically freed himself from his ropes, escaping just before the bomb went off.

When he ran into a young prince of the assassins from the Middle East, Jason exchanged for [Basic Child Psychology]. When it didn't seem useful, he exchanged for [48-Hour Snow White Aura], successfully scamming the little demon and earning a subtle, envious look from him.

Faced with the next Robin's work habits, which left no time for sleep or meals, Jason exchanged for [Intermediate Neuroscience] and [Forced Shutdown Acupuncture], giving him a silky-smooth night's sleep.

Reader's note: Lots of original worldbuilding, and some characters may be out of character. In short, this is Jason Todd with an overpowered golden finger and an incredibly smooth life.

Theme: Good people are rewarded, and superheroes are rewarded even better
