Between Red Heads and Cat Ears, I Chose Cat Ears?

Jason was a college student, a literature major, top of his class, and the campus heartthrob. He loved reading so much that he'd neglected his social life.

When his parents realized that he hadn't made a single friend in his entire life, they ordered him to find a good friend before the end of his first semester at college, someone he could at least take out and have fun with.

So, through Alfred, an older student and president of the same club, he got a gaming headset as part of an activity organized by the gaming club. That gave him access to the hugely famous game Earth Online, and kicked off a disastrous relationship.

[Scene One]

Alfred: Young master, please stop rummaging through trash cans!

Jason: But! (That's where he learned the tire-popping skill!)

Alfred sighed helplessly. "Then Wayne will just have to sponsor every trash can in Gotham!"

[Scene Two]

(First day at the manor) Jason: Bruce, I got you a present!

(Second day at the manor) Jason: Bruce! I got you a present!

(The Nth day at the manor) Jason: Old man! I got you a present!

(In the Batcave) Alfred: The young master seems to enjoy giving you... repurposed junk?

(Bruce, in his Batsuit, rubbed his forehead.) Bruce: You can just call it garbage, Alfred. (But he secretly smiled with delight.)

[Scene Three]

[Player's personal story completed. Entering a special time period. Choose a future path.]

(Jason hesitates, looking at the red helmet, the mask and hood, and the cool blue cat-ear helmet.)

Jason: The cat ears look a lot like Bruce's... If I have to pick... Fine! I just like cat ears! I'll take the cat-ear route!

[Congratulations! You have chosen the Arkham Knight route. Selection confirmed.]

And so, this is the story of a player who chose to become the Arkham Knight because he liked cat ears.

[Scene Four]

Bruce spoke heavily. "Jason... why... did you become the Arkham Knight?"

Jason froze for a moment, then hesitated. (Wouldn't it be... kind of lame if he said it was because he liked cat ears?) "Are you sure you want me to spell it out, Bat?"

His tone was stiff from embarrassment, but it seemed to make a certain dark figure misunderstand something.

Bruce looked grief-stricken and said nothing. (My Jay-meow doesn't even call me Bruce anymore!)

[Scene Five]

Three players gathered together, each wearing a different premium player skin. An NPC Joker from another instance lay in front of them.

One of them: We should kill the Joker, right?

Another: Obviously. What do you mean, "should"?

Jason looked at the two of them. "Wait... you guys look like villains!"

The three of them checked which factions they belonged to.

The other two: You literally drove a tank in here, and you're saying we look like villains?! (Which of us looks more like the villain here?)

Jason took off his helmet, scratched his head, and changed the subject. "So, should we steam him or braise him?"

One of them: I recommend letting him experience both.

Another: Isn't that unsanitary? Just so we're clear, I'm not eating the Joker.

Jason and the other one: ...Don't say it like we're going to eat him!

[Things to know before reading:

OOC is inevitable. Player Jason and the others don't know the world is real. This has the same setting as Ti Bao's Gaming Time.
