The Chill of Early Spring

The Jinyiwei Deputy Commander x the Deputy Minister of the Dali Temple, a surging romance beneath court intrigue

"Clean it up. Don't get my books dirty."

"Please stay away from me."

◆ The dashing, ruthless Jinyiwei top x the proud, cold Dali Temple bottom (Lu Mingyan x Su Shuyun)

The court is treacherous, and passion hides behind the blade.

Lu Mingyan, a Jinyiwei Deputy Commander, has sent countless souls to their deaths beneath his Embroidered Spring Blade. Beneath his carefree, flirtatious exterior lie the most ruthless methods. He acts as though nothing matters, yet makes exception after exception for the icy commander of the Imperial Guards, who won't even spare him a glance.

Su Shuyun, Deputy Minister of the Dali Temple, has a formidable palm technique and keeps everyone at arm's length. He hates blood, he hates frivolity, and he hates the Jinyiwei Deputy Commander who is always hovering in front of him. But when undercurrents surge at court and the two are forced to join forces to investigate a stolen weapons case, he discovers that Lu Mingyan's blade works in perfect harmony with his palm technique.

The Jinyiwei F3:

Xiao Jianxi (the eldest): His spear is like a dragon. Beneath his sunny, cheerful exterior lies absolute dependability. As commander of the Jinyiwei, he is the anchor of the F3.

Lu Mingyan (the second): Unmatched with blade and sword, he is exceptionally talented yet lazy and carefree, and utterly at a loss when it comes to one particular person.

Shen Ruhui (the third): His palm and fist techniques are unpredictable. With a light turn of his Buddhist beads, he decides life and death. Taciturn, yet every word cuts to the bone.

Intrigue and flashing blades intertwine as feelings quietly take root amid their clashes.

In this game, who will be the true winner?

When a dashing Jinyiwei meets a cold-hearted commander of the Imperial Guards, the court intrigue brings irresistible tension and fatal attraction.
