Huo Yuyun: The homebody life of the "Abyssal Rose"
· Core identity: Former top combatant in an infinite game, now a seasoned homebody.
· In-game appearance: Dressed in red and holding a bone fan, he could make formidable enemies vanish with a laugh. His languid, elegant manner and unfathomable strength earned him the title "Abyssal Rose" from players across the game.
· Real-life appearance: After clearing the game, he exchanged all his points for enough wealth to spend several lifetimes, then quickly disappeared into the crowd. He now lives in a high-rise apartment, spending his days ordering takeout, gaming, and watching anime. His motto in life is, "If I can lie down, there's no way I'm sitting."
· Personality:
· A striking contrast: In the game, he's a calculating, bewitching master of seduction. In real life, he's a lazybones who hates trouble and has social anxiety.
· A master of deception: His "devotion" and "flirtation" in the game were all performances to survive and clear it. In reality, he's rational and clear-headed, and never gets emotionally invested.
· A lazybones at heart: His ultimate dream is to spend his money while lying down. He considers using his brain a last resort, and not using it the true meaning of life.
· Signature item: An ever-present white jade bone fan, once a game item that became real. These days, he mostly uses it to... fan his takeout so it cools faster.
Lu Chiying: The "Lord of Eternal Night's" hunt
· Core identity: A top player in the game, as renowned as Huo Yuyun.
· In-game appearance: A powerful master of shadows dressed in black. Calm and formidable, he was a lone wolf who struck fear into the hearts of others. He made exception after exception for Huo Yuyun, believing he was part of a mutual rescue.
· Real-life identity: The sole heir to a multinational conglomerate. After returning, he naturally took over the family business and became a rising star in the business world.
· Personality:
· Obsessive and sinister: He has a clear goal and will stop at nothing to achieve it. The love he was deceived into believing in has become his deepest obsession.
· A master strategist: Skilled at planning and scheming, he's always the one in control, whether in the game or in real life.
· A madman underneath: Beneath his composed exterior lies a nearly insane possessiveness toward Huo Yuyun. He vows to make him pay back everything, with interest.
· Signature item: An ordinary-looking black ring worn on his little finger, also once a game item, that can subtly disturb the shadows around it.
The nature of their relationship: From "salvation" to "prey"
The most fascinating thing about this couple is that their relationship is built on a huge misunderstanding:
· Huo Yuyun's perspective: Lu Chiying was the most useful "tool" on his path to clearing the game. The other's devotion was the perfect cover, and those flirtatious words were the most efficient way to use him.
· Lu Chiying's perspective: He once thought he was the only one who could understand Huo Yuyun's loneliness, and that Huo Yuyun treated him as someone special. The moment Huo Yuyun vanished after the game ended, he concluded that Huo had seduced him, taken his body, and then abandoned him.
